2017 Fee Schedule

Registration Camp KiyaThe fees listed below include meals and lodging in the cabins or staying in the campground Tehachapi Mountain Park. No discount is given for staying at home, or in your own tent or RV. Work options are available along with a scholarship fund in order to make the camp as affordable as possible to all.

Full program:

  • Adults: $445
  • Students 12 and over: $385
  • Children 6-11: $325
  • Children 5 and under: free
  • Guardian: $285 (Non-player responsible for camper under 18.) A limited number of places are available for mature teens to stay overnight in a cabin with a camp guardian/counselor for an additional fee of $30.


  • No meals: -$100
  • No breakfasts: -$25
  • No lunches: -$30
  • No dinners: -$45
  • Early bird: -$25 Register before April 15, with a $150 deposit.
  • Family (4 or more family members, including at least 1 adult): -$20 for each person (Please note: A family member on scholarship or who is a kitchen helper is not eligible for this discount, although he/she may be counted as one of the 4 family members.)
  • Kitchen helpers: -$100
  • Scholarship funds available up to $50 (see below)

Daily Fee Schedule (including meals):

  • Sunday: $80
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: $125 per day

Night Activities only (includes dinner):

  • Non-camper: $25
  • Spouse (of a registered camper): $20
  • Activity only (no dinner) $10

Single classes:

  • Single class: $25 (must register ahead)
  • (with lunch): $40

Scholarship funding:

We have some funds available for $50 scholarships, on a first come–first served basis. If anyone would like to contribute, please make checks out to the Arts Council of Kern, with “Camp Kiya Scholarships” in the memo field.  Donations are tax deductible.

Refund Policy:

If requested by May 1: Full refund

If requested by July 1: 80% of fee refunded

After July 1, if requested because of an emergency before the start of camp: 50% of fee refunded or we will work with you, depending on your circumstances.

No-shows to camp, without any explanation: No refund, but we may, at our discretion,  consider you registered for the next year.

In any case, you may choose to have your registration fee held over to the next year if you cannot attend camp in the year in which you have paid but you have contacted us to say you are not coming.
